Tamale Joe

From Bloomingpedia

In the 1950s and 60s, at least, a little man carrying an insulated bucket of hot tamales used to walk the streets of downtown Bloomington. He was a common sight on the courthouse square but was spotted at least as far south as Lyons Drug Store, at the corner of Second and Walnut Streets. He chanted "Tamales" as he walked.
