Talk:Mace's Supermarket

From Bloomingpedia

Demolished date

I guess it was demolished in 2003. [1]. I guess 2003 is further away than it used to be. ;-) -- Mark 07:46, 26 December 2006 (EST)

this photo confirms that Mace's supermarket abutted 4th street on its backside. But what about the east side? Did the parking lot go all the way to the train tracks? I want to say yes, but I wasn't right on what I thought where the years it was demolished. -- Mark 07:46, 26 December 2006 (EST)

In reading through this article in the HT, there is reference to a municipal parking lot. Now I remember it, I think it was a fenced in one row parking lot next to the lot for Mace's. I think its safe to say that the outside park area on the east side of the Wonderlab building is where this municipal parking lot used to be. So the Mace's lot covered all of the area where The Kirkwood is now plus the area where the building for Wonderlab is going all the way to Kirkwood Avenue. -- Mark 08:42, 26 December 2006 (EST)
