Kiva Telecommunications, Inc. was a spin off company of Kiva Networking that was owned seperately. It was initially created to manage the sonet-fiber loop that Kiva created to run between Bloomington, Columbus and Indianapolis for fiber optic cable. It was managed by Bill Slater. The company later became Ion Communications Inc. According to rumor, Kiva stopping using the fiber in 2004 and the fiber loop is in the process of being sold.
