IUCC Free Software Party

The IUCC Free Software Party is an event sponsored by the IUCC (Indiana University Computing for the Commons) to promote free/open source software (such as Linux) to the public. It was held on Saturday February 25th, 2006 from noon to 5pm in Ernie Pyle Hall room 157, aka "The Pit". The IUCC gave out Linux CDs, Linux Hacks, provided demonstrations, technical help, food & drinks and showed movies.


Marketing

  • A flyer that shows a comic book blonde crying and saying "I can't believe they didn't use Open Source".
  • Posted announcements to IUCC mailing list and the Bloomington Linux Users Group mailing list.
