BlueMarble is an Internet Service Provider (ISP) based in Bloomington and now owned by Smithville Telephone. It was started by Steve Volan on January 9th, 1995 in a bedroom closet at 2301 E. 5th Street. Soon afterwards they moved into suite 213 of Showers Plaza. Their latest office is located in Showers Plaza and their address is 320 W. 8th Street Suite # 217.
Origin of Name
The name Bluemarble comes from the idea that the world is a big blue marble and Bluemarble is providing connectivity to all of it through the Internet.
