Bathsheba Sluss

Bathsheba (Laboyteaux) Sluss (1823-1908) was one of the oldest residents of Bloomington at the time of her death. The daughter of Asher and Elizabeth Laboyteaux, she moved to Bloomington from Harrodsburg, KY with her parents at the age of 3.

Mrs. Sluss married Ellis E. Sluss in 1842, and lived in a house at 6th Street and Morton Street from that time until her death.

The Slusses had four children: Florence, Lizzie, Asher, and one other daughter.
