Indiana University Surplus Store

From Bloomingpedia

IU Surplus Stores is a large warehouse at Indiana University for selling to the public equipment for which no longer the University has a use. They can some money from their surplus and ensure that material doesn't 'dissapear' to the benefit of individuals rather than the University. They sell items for a fixed price or sell unusual or large batches of items in a silent auction, usually on shrink wrapped wooden pallets. Their stock always includes furniture, file cabinets, and computers and computer parts / accessories, along with an eclectic collection scientific and audio-visual equipment, and other items.

It is important to note that they keep costs down by only taking checks or money orders for payment, no cash or credit cards.
