Beta Theta Pi

From Bloomingpedia

The Pi chapter of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity was formed in 1845, the first social fraternity on the Indiana University campus.

In 2001, the fraternity was suspended and disbanded by their national foundation, due to repeated alcohol and pledge violations. The fraternity was allowed to recolonize in 2003, but the University bought their landmark house at 919 E. Tenth Street, forcing them to relocate to the former Delta Chi house on North Jordan Avenue.
