- 28th The National Hotel is bought by the Bloomington Hotel Company for $6,000. The consortium consists of John Waldron, William J. Allen, W. W. Wicks and the Showers Brothers. They planned to add about $4000 worth of improvements and keep the manager, Mr. T.F. Lawes.
