Waffle House

From Bloomingpedia

Waffle House was a restaurant on north College Avenue at the corner of 10th Street in Bloomington. It opened in 1967 according to a message on their marquee. It was the oldest of the remaining Waffle House restaurants in Indiana. It closed in 2013.

The Indiana chain of Waffle House restaurants is not to be confused with the national chain found across the southern United States. Because the local chain existed first, the national franchiser instead named their stores Waffle and Steak in Indiana.
