Urban Waste Reclamation Project
The Urban Waste Reclamation Project is a locally based grassroots project aimed at the beautification of our city and the betterment of ALL individuals living here by developing and promoting economically feasible and environmentally friendly ways to recycle and reuse discarded items and resources for the benefit of our community as a whole.
What does The Urban Waste Reclamation Project do?
Aluminum can and scrap metal pickup and recycling services. Portions of the proceeds from the recycling of aluminum and metals will be donated to local homeless shelters and community centers in the Bloomington area.
Old laptop pickup and reclamation. Used and discarded laptops will be repaired and donated to low income families and individuals in need here locally in the community.
Clothing reclamation. Gently used clothing will be distributed to low income families and individuals in need here locally in the community.
Unopened, non-perishable food reclamation. Reclaimed foods will be distributed to the homeless and hungry living here in the community.
Unopened household cleaning supplies reclamation. Supplies to be distributed to low income households in the community and local homeless shelters.
Unopened, non perishable hygiene products and toiletries. Items will be donated to local shelters and community centers.
These are just a few things that the Urban Waste Reclamation Project currently does, and more is in development.
