Talk:Mitchell Hall

From Bloomingpedia

This building is an enigma

Seriously, it is the red-headed stepchild of the Bloomington campus. It's almost impossible to find a picture of it, let alone a good history. I'm not even sure when it was torn down. --Jkonrath 11:29, 24 May 2006 (EDT)

Heh. Just curious: where are you pulling this info from now? I've seen a few campus history sites on some IU-maintained pages. Are you pulling from something like that? -Chrobb 11:53, 24 May 2006 (EDT)
I've been going through this book on the early history of the campus. I forget the name, but I have a couple of similar books, so I'll have to post all of the titles and authors somewhere. I've also been checking it against that big IU history page, although they skim over a lot of the details. And as far as Mitchell Hall, I seem to remember it still being on old campus maps and other printed stuff when I first started school, but I think it was gone already by then. --Jkonrath 14:59, 24 May 2006 (EDT)

That link's dead; here is another: http://www.indiana.edu/~libarch/iuchron/mitchellhall.jpg --Jkonrath 10:38, 26 September 2012 (EDT)

Finally, a history

I have a copy of _The History of Mitchell Hall 1995-1986_, published by Indiana University Archives, and almost impossible to find. I've now gone from almost no information to far too much information on this piece of junk. --Jkonrath 18:12, 2 October 2012 (EDT)
