Panache Dance

Panache Dance, also known as Panache School of Ballroom and Social Dance, is a local, independent dance studio located at 325 E Winslow Road in Winslow Plaza. Panache opened for business on September 12th, 2008. Sandy and Scott Myers are the co-owners.

Panache Dance focuses on all forms of social partner dancing as well as dance-based fitness classes. It holds two theatrical showcases per year at the studio - each April and October. It also hosts groups such as the Bloomington Burlesque Brigade, Different Drummer Belly Dancers, Dark Side Tribal Belly Dancers, and the B-Town Steppers.

Panache Dance is also the home of the Bloomington Ballroom Teachers Academy (or BBTA), a certification training program for dancers interested in becoming certified instructors in the 17 dances of the DVIDA syllabus. The BBTA is owned and operated by former world-champion dancer Tom Slater and by Robert Ping.

The studio expanded on April 1st, 2010 when it relocated from its former address at 311 E Winslow Road.
