Joella's Hot Chicken
Joella's Hot Chicken is a chain of fried chicken restaurants that originated in Louisville, Kentucky in 2015. It is known for serving "Nashville-style hot chicken". A location opened at 3002 E. Third Street in Bloomington on January 24th, 2019.
Popular opening
For the first several days, the restaurant was extremely popular both inside and at their drive-through window. At times, the line of cars for the drive through completely circled the building, causing issues with cars exiting the same drive-through line (giggle). The line inside snaked around and reached the door, creating a long wait just to place an order. Part of their grand opening promotion was to provide the first 100 people through the door with coupons for free chicken for an entire year, which was in the form of 52 coupons.
