Fred Thrasher

A. Fred Thrasher was a Bloomington businessman and proprietor of Thrasher Brothers Hardware.
He had been in the hardware business for 27 years at the time of his death, and was president of the local association of hardware dealers. He was a trustee of the First Baptist Church and treasurer of the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce in 1932-33.
Mr. Thrasher was married on November 6, 1906 to the former Ora Pryor, and they had at least five children: Mrs. Robert Etnier, Irvin Thrasher, Wilson Thrasher, Jane Thrasher, and Martha Thrasher. His two sisters were Mrs. W.H. McCoy and Mrs. John Currie, and his brother was Kahn Thrasher.
