Culture Shock

From Bloomingpedia

Culture Shock is a music and cultural concert festival that takes place annually in Dunn Meadow. It is organized by the student-run radio station WIUX (WIUS in the past). It usually happens in April on a Saturday. The first Culture Shock took place in 1986.

Michael Stipe and Peter Buck of R.E.M. were seen and photographed roaming around the first Culture Shock in 1986. They were in town recording "Life's Rich Pageant" at John Mellencamp's Belmont Mall Studios in Belmont, Indiana. They both made appearances at the first "Aftershock Party" as well.
