Carl Sagan

Carl Sagan (November 9, 1934 – December 20, 1996) was an american astronomer and noted science popularizer and communicator. His 1980 TV series Cosmos was viewed by over 500 million people worldwide. He lived in Bloomington in the early 1950s while studying with professor H. J. Muller. His studies with Dr. Muller are said to have strongly influenced Sagan's opinion and interest in the issues of nuclear war.
