Butcher School
From Bloomingpedia
The Butcher School was a one-room school built in the late 1830's in Butcher Hollow in the southern part of Salt Creek Township, seven miles from the Brown County line. It was closed in 1955 to make room for Lake Monroe. Built near the Butcher family farm, the facility also hosted community socials and itinerant preachers.
