The descriptively named Bloomington Thrift Shop is one of only a few downtown thrift stores. It is in the yellow building at 220 South Madison and Third Street. For more than seventy years, the store has sold clothing, furniture and many other second-hand goods for Bloomington and Indiana charities. It is operated by Psi Iota Xi, a women's philanthropic organization that was founded in Indiana 70+ years ago. Their proceeds are donated to about two dozen community organizations (list on their website).
Hours: Tuesday - Friday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturdays 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
