Paragraphs

Mediawiki ignores normal line breaks. To start a new paragraph, leave an empty line. You can also start a new line with the HTML tag <br />.

Image Tips

There are many options for handling images in articles, options that cover: image placement, size, captioning and more. Most folks will be happy with working on placement, size and captions. You can specify image placement as: left, center, or right. You can specify an image's horizontal size in pixels. You can add a caption (this automatically reduces the size of the image for you) to explain the image and the caption can include links to other articles. Use the pipe character to separate the image specifications, the pipe character looks like a vertical bar, |, and usually shares a key with the backslash \.

Signatures in comments

For people using the article Talk pages, adding your signature after your comment is a very helpful way of keeping track of the discussion. Adding a signature is very simple on Bloomingpedia, simply append a series of tilde characters and you'll have a nice signature. Three tildes will sign your name and four tildes will add a date/time stamp after your name. The name that appears is controlled by the "nickname" setting in your user preferences.

HTML

Some HTML-Tags are allowed in MediaWiki, for example <code>, <div>, <span> and <font>.
